Welcome to the CURA Medical Group

CURA Medical Group is the current office of Dr. Nick Riccardo, M.D. and previously of Dr. Zofia Cyga

With the recent retirement of Dr. Zofia Cygan M.D., S.C. in January of 2025, her office has merged with the new office of Dr. Nick Riccardo M.D., Internal Medicine. This new practice encompasses both groups of patients and is now called the CURA Medical Group, located in the previous office of Dr. Cygan in Lisle, Illinois.

Why call the practice "CURA Medical Group?"

The word CURA comes from Latin, meaning "help" or "care" This describes our mission and our vision: Helping all individuals in a caring, timely, efficient and courteous manner.

Healthcare has changed

Unfortunately, healthcare in general has become more bureaucratic and impersonal. Our goal is to change these attitudes and make your experience as best as possible by providing:

a compassionate and knowledgeable physician with many years of experience
same day appointments with minimal wait times
easy office accessibility and parking
a friendly and helpful staff
a trouble free, uncomplicated phone system with limited prompts

Regarding our practice

Appointments

Scheduled appointments are seen ON TIME as best as possible. Please be courteous and arrive before or at the time of your appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but scheduled patients take precedence.

In order to avoid long wait times, we recommend calling us ahead at (630) 355-6040 for an appointment even if it is for the same day.

Most medical questions and concerns will require an appointment, which includes a through history and examination by a physician in the office. Except in extreme circumstances, we promise to make an appointment and see you in the same day if you call us with an illness or injury during business hours.

If you contact us during business hours and we are unavailable to answer the phone for your concerns or even to make an appointment, please leave a message on the confidential voicemail and ALL calls are returned the same day.

Emergency Calls & After Hours Answering Service

If you are having a medical emergency requiring immediate attention at ANY TIME - CALL 911. DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE!

But if you have an absolute urgent need requiring the Doctor's attention and action, after you call the regular office number, you will be redirected to call the Doctor's emergency number.

Please call this only when absolutely necessary; any non-medical issues can be addressed the next business day. Thank you!
